The Temple (or preacher hut) is a building where braves or other followers are sent to be trained into preachers. It's shape is one square longer than a hut making huts be around it un-aligned. You will need 8 wood piles to build a temple.

The temple is unlocked in level 3 of the single player. Like any training hut, training braves into preachers requires mana. The temple can be completly destroyed with a single well palced tornado, but it doesn't always works - it's harder than destroying a warrior training hut with this spell.
