The Landbridge spell, when cast on the far shore of a stretch of water separating two pieces of land, will join those pieces of land by raising the ocean floor. You can also use the spell to create a ramp up to the top of a cliff by standing at the bottom and casting the spell on the top; or you can join two hills together to make a handy defence platform.

 

It is possible to Sidedoor or Backdoor with this spell by join to an enemy's settlement land (this is used online quite alot). You can also use landbridge to save your shaman's life when she hits the water. If you cast the spell to a near by land just as your shaman hits the water, a strech of land will appear,saving your shaman from drowning!

Note that tt does not work if you cast it in the middle of the ocean - you always need to cast in another piece of land.

Usually, once well used land bridge will create enough room to build 2 huts. In some cases where your shaman has a good height range or is inside a tower, you can build 3 or 4 or 5 huts using one single land bridge.

 

This spell is extremly important in Populous, being the main recovery spell for when you have no room to rebuild your settlement after you got atacked.

 

You will obtain this spell in level 6: "Building Bridges", and you can store a maximum ammount of 4 shots of this spell.

Take note that you can not use this spell when inside a vehicle.
