C.4 Wildman

Wildmen, also known as 'Wildies', are native people who walk around and survive by eating from the  trees and drinking water from the ocean, rivers and puddles. You can not atack them with units, but you can kill them with spells. They are useful to you because you can convert them using the Convert spell, but you must do this quickly at the start as their life expectancy is sometimes low. They are terribly weak as well, a singleSwarm spell can easily wipe them out and they sometimes accidently fall into the water.

They sometimes get resurrected when a player has had heavy damage well into the game and can reform by using the 'Wildies' that have come back. This happens because a player's good ammount of population died, so the wildies will appear on the planet.

They also sometimes get "stuck" between water and land, this can lead to unsuccessful converts (this happens quit alot in the online level "craters".

Once you convert a wild, he will turn into a full health brave of your tribe. Wildies walking inside any reincarnation site will turn into that tribe's braves if the shaman reincarnates with them inside the cor (circle of reincarnation).

There are levels with few or none wildies, meaning you will have a slower start. Usually, online maps are played with convert - and the initial phase of most levels is all about converting and building. In levels like Pressure Point, converting as good and as fast as you can is a really important skill to have, because it will either provide your tribe a fast start and the enemy a slow start, or the otherway around (unless both tribes convert equally ammounts).

It's usually good to waste the convert spell, sometimes even for only 1 wild. Generally saying, even at later stages of the game, when 3 wilds or more are together, it's good to waste a shot of convert for them.

There is also a spell (only avaliable online) which can be only used when the option "forge world" is enabled. You have 5 shots of that spell, and each shot will create 5 wilds.

The wildman's worldview symbol is a small grey circle.
