C.68 Ways of finishing a level
There are some different ways of finnishing a level:
Kill every follower and the shaman from every single enemy tribe on the level. This is the most common way. On level 19 " Unlikely allies", you are allied to the Chumara, so you don't need to kill that tribe. Online, you also only have to kill the tribes you are not allied with.
A level is also finished if you lose. If all your followers die and your shaman dies after, you will lose and the game will be finished.
In singleplayer's level 5, worshipping the gargoyle will unlock a small flyby video, and after the Angel of Death kills the Dakini's shaman, you win - even if the Dakini tribe is not totally dead.
If you click on the shutdown button, your pc will turn off and your level will be finished. If the power goes off and your pc shuts off, this happens too.
The level will be finished if you press alt+f4 or if your game crashes by any reason.
You can also finish the level by clicking "esc", "QUIT GAME" and then "YES".
So if your mother tells you it's dinner time, you don't have to say "I'm in the middle of a Populous game, wait 10 minutes!", because you can pause this game both online or offline.
When playing online, if all the players in that game ally eachother, the level will be finished.
False! Populous is so good that you actually can!
But the other players would have to agree to wait for you to come back, and sometimes they can't be bothered - that's the problem.
