GoD has been one of the most active and good clans of all times. Like most clans, it had downtimes, but generally speaking is the clan that had active members in most years, for many years. It is many times ridiculed or talked about, but it is overal a respected clan. Khaos has been its leader since the beginning, and some of the best Populous players passed by this clan.
Asgard has has always been a clan that closely fits to a great community description. It has a really deep interaction with its members, and they don't just accept everyone - one has to do recruitment tests and get involved to get inside. Although it has some really good players, AsG usually gives more importance to the attitude of the members. It is a rather old clan, but been innactive for the past couple years. It is belived that many members are still active on their forums.
TLL was originally created by Keemo and PK, and it got to be a really known clan. Many well known players were in this clan, and the clan itself has really dark times. It died, and was remade at least 3 times. Nowadays it does not exist, but it could be remade anytime!
Royal Widows is a quite old clan, managed by Genesis, Dash and Blackwidow (Addiction and Macca now, also). It is known for having really strong players, and a peculiar attitude overall. The clan still lives these days, and if you want to join in, you will need a good skill and loyality.
Team Nashua is the oldest Populous community online. The clan is intended to be friendly and supportive, leaving the skill aside. Their forums are still active since 2001, and some of the oldest players like IncaWarrior, Sonic, C3 or TheSwarm are in the clan. Behold the ancients of Populous!
Dragon Team got to be a really important and well known clan in PopRe, because it had well known players, inside and outside tourneys, and a live community, in the times it lived. The clan died and had remaked, but it is dead these days. Well known players in DT would include Dave, Keith52, Divinity, Kidd, Shadow, etc.
TDM was certainly one of the most known clans. It had really good players, and a good rate of activity in the matchmaker. This clan, created by Walhallah and PowerOf3, was one of the most competitive ever, and some of the best players in history wore its tag, such as Keith52, Supertribe, Genesis, Nefarius, etc. Sadly, it is the most innactive clan these days, it is rare to see a player online.
TAS, created by Tsuyoshi, is a rather recent clan, who has been one of the most active in most months, in the past years. Although the members are not always the highest ranked, some good players been part of TAS, such as Nici, Tsuyoshi, Maganha, Kosjak, etc.
The clan is also very helpful, training new members and helping new players. Because of its activity and contribution to PopRe, it has to be listed in the famous clans, being a recent well known clan.
