K.1 Populous Matchmakers
The Populous Matchmakers are programs that allow you to play with other players, from all around the world. You need to be registered and logged in to join the lobby and chat, or join rooms to play the game. Also to post on the forums. Keep in mind that the online experience is way harder than the singleplayer, in most cases. You should really download a matchmaker and chat/play with other players! It's totally free.

this matchmaker has always been the most active one. Currently, it's the only used one as well. People from all around the world play here, specially from Europe and America, but not only. It usually has between 40 and 60 players online at once, on average.

this macthmaker has seen better days. It's basically innactive these days, but if you find people to join with you, you can have a game there. The matchmaker has some nice tools and levels to try out, but sadly, until a new age starts, it's getting dust. It usually has between 0 and 7 players online at once, on average (in 2015).
Other matchmakers that might exist are even less active, so it's probably better not to download them.
