R.5 Uploading a map to play online

Created a level and want to test it online, with real players? It's really simple.

After having you level finished and without errors, save it somewhere (eg.: desktop). It should create 3 files where you saved it (.dat, .hdr, .ver).

Now aim to PopRe website and go to Downloads.

On the left side, you will see ''Submit". Click there. Don't forget you have to be logged in to submit a file. Now, in the category, you chose the one you want. In this case, we pick ''single map".

Pick any title, and that will become the title of the level. Write some description if you want to. It will be on the level's description, on PopRe test maps page.

Now, for the DAT file, select your .dat file (it should be where you saved it to). Do the same for the HDR file (pick the files carefuly). For the constant file, select a constant file if you made and have one to use (in most cases, you will not have one, so leave this box alone).

Added comments are not needed, but write something if you want.

Click submit.

After a short time, you will be re-directed to a new page, saying map upload successful or not successful. When successful, you will see some information in RED colour, mostly warnings and info, so read it. Now you level is uploaded! You can play it by going on MODS, in the matchmaker, and pressing refresh. Now aim to the test maps, and the top level should be the most recent uploaded level (yours).

If the map was not successfully uploaded, RED text will tell you information about why, so you can fix it, or upload it with those errors included, if that is your wish.

To view or delete your map from the test maps levels, just go to THIS PAGE and search for your level, then you can view, edit or delete it.

Keep in mind that all test maps are unranked to the PopRe leagues, when it comes to playing them online or offline, so you will not win or lose points when playing them.
